ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

The current environmental education project is the Korsten, Schauderville & Despatch (SKD) Environmental Initiative which aims to address chronic illegal dumping and the negative public image that is projected by illegal dumping especially in poorer communities. This goal will be reached by implementing various educational and awareness campaigns focusing on waste management and recycling. The ultimate goal is to increase public and learner awareness to take ownership of their own and public spaces and have a sense of pride in their environment and protect mother earth.. It is important that communities and schools are involved in the recycling and waste management educational campaigns.
